I walk into the Shaolin Temple, the rice paper at my feet have many imprints, and my mind gives form to the sources of each marker. Symbolic references to my life, for the observer.
Some events are very important and significant to me, and mean something different to others who would also observe and look to apply logic. The mind as a structure has always fascinated me. The occult (hidden) aspects of it, which form connections with other entities and ego states of being.
My children were invited into this world, and grew to form their own identities. The separation of our beliefs, was natural given the circumstances. I held strongly to the belief we were connected, and always would be on some level.
My life did not fit into the ‘normal’ – my parents knew me better than I knew myself. Then again, I guess most parents feel that way about their children.. Growing is a natural process,, and the development of the mind, equally natural. I recently read that ‘the mind’ can be as unique as a fingerprint, an observation that sits comfortably with me.
Relationships which lead to the birth of a child, also fascinate me. Especially where ‘intent’ is involved. Where there is ‘an invitation’ for new life to take form. There are ‘accidental births’, perhaps – some say that ‘new life’ looks for opportunity to become incarnate. Beliefs are another area of complex considerations.
Madness and un-sane states suggest patterns of neurological frameworks which exist outside the comfort zones of more rational and orthodox minds. Language and the use of words, help create neurological connections, and ‘insane’ to me suggests a more normal state, than ‘un-sane’.
Children naturally look to their parents for a sense of order and structure. They do not always get the best support, only the best support that is available. Every bird must leave the nest someday, spread their wings, and fly.
The Dark Knight
Of the soul… looking across the rice paper.
There was a time when “Fathers 4 Justice” dressed up like superheroes to raise awareness of the difficulties men faced when a marriage did not work out. The insanity of the justice system always deserves challenge, if not you would still find witches burned at the stake. I am taking a ‘liberty’ here, however we all must remember ‘free men and women are ruled by consent’, in most cases.
Not every father looked to fight so openly, many looked to find a balance in the interests of their children. They looked to ‘extend families’ in principle, and find working solutions.
The ‘mind’ is truly fascinating, and the ‘heart’ as much so… finding balance is a challenge we all must face, is so many diverse ways.
This post must come to a close, and leave a small footprint on the rice paper, as a mark of respect and love, for everyone who looks to make this world a better place.
